May 2026
- Smarter product data enrichment now pulls from multiple sources to fill in missing details and improve listing quality.
- Automatic image sorting places white-background catalogue shots first and lifestyle images after. Learn more about how product images are sorted.
- You can now pause and resume AI description generation mid-batch without losing progress.
- Single-product imports now skip the Variants step automatically. See importing partial CSVs for details.
- Imports that do not include pricing data skip the Tax step entirely. See importing partial CSVs for details.
- You can deselect products mid-flow to drop them from the rest of the import.
- Source attribution in the Review step now shows where each piece of product data came from.
- Category metafield warnings have been simplified with one-click guidance to enable Industry Packs.
- Importier is now live on the Shopify App Store.
April 2026
- Variant descriptions are now available on Scale and Enterprise plans, giving each variant its own tailored description.
- Category metafield matching now uses a multi-strategy approach: Phase 0 direct match, Phase 1 deterministic matching, and Phase 2 AI-assisted matching.
- 22 Industry Packs are now available, covering 3,758 category attribute types for richer metafield support.
