Import Options & Review
What this article covers: The Review Import step, where you do the final check and fine-tune of every product before pushing the batch to Shopify.

Review: Full-Screen Bulk Editor

The Review step presents every product in a full-screen, Shopify-style bulk editor. Use it to do a last pass of edits before the import is sent.

Editing Cells

Every cell is editable. For variant products, all variant-level fields are individually editable: SKU, Cost, Price, Compare At, Barcode, Quantity, Weight, and Options.

Sorting

Sort the table by SKU or Title using the up and down arrows on the right of those column headers. Useful for grouping products by supplier code or alphabetising a long batch before a final scan.

In-Place Description Editing

Open any Description, Meta Description, or Variant Description cell and the rich text popup appears. Highlight a piece of text and the formatting tools, including Bold, Italic, Underline, Link, lists and headings, apply only to the text you have highlighted, not the entire field. Use the HTML source toggle to edit the raw markup if you prefer. Image, table and emoji controls are also available.

Category Metafield Dropdowns

Category metafield columns display dropdown selectors with all valid taxonomy values, so you cannot accidentally type an invalid value.

Specification Columns

If you enabled Manual Specification Assignment at the Category Attributes step, three Specification columns appear in Review. Map each column to one of your store's custom metafields and either type values directly or use AI Auto-fill for Specifications to populate them in one pass.

Theme Template Column

The Template column shows the product page template each product will use. Override any single product's template here without changing the rest of the batch. See Choose a Theme Template for Imported Products.

CSV Export

Export CSV from this screen now includes the theme template and any specification columns you set, so nothing you configured is lost on export. Re-importing the exported CSV later carries everything across.
