Matrixify Compatible Export
Importier can export your product data in a format compatible with Matrixify (formerly Excelify), one of the most widely used Shopify bulk data management apps. This feature is available on Growth, Scale, and Enterprise plans.
What Is Matrixify?
Matrixify is a Shopify app that handles bulk import, export, and migration of store data including products, collections, customers, orders, and more. It supports advanced Shopify features like metafields, metaobjects, and multi-location inventory that Shopify's native CSV importer cannot handle.
How to Access Matrixify Export
During the import flow, after you have generated descriptions and enriched your product data, look for the Matrixify Export option on the Review step or the Confirm step. Click it to download your product data in Matrixify-compatible Excel format. This file can then be imported directly into Matrixify on the same store or a different Shopify store.
When to Use Matrixify Export
This feature is useful in several scenarios:
- Store migration: Use Importier to enrich and generate descriptions for products from a supplier file, then export via Matrixify to migrate to a new Shopify store along with other store data (collections, customers, orders) that Importier does not handle.
- Multi-store distribution: Generate AI descriptions and enrichment in Importier once, export via Matrixify, and import the same enriched data into multiple Shopify stores without running AI generation on each store separately.
- Advanced metafield management: If you need to import complex metafield structures, nested metaobjects, or JSON metafields that go beyond what Importier pushes directly to Shopify, export from Importier and use Matrixify's advanced metafield mapping.
- Scheduled and recurring imports: Set up a workflow where Importier handles AI enrichment and Matrixify handles scheduled recurring imports from the exported file, useful for suppliers who send updated catalogues regularly.
- Backup before complex operations: Export your fully enriched data via Matrixify format before performing a large import, so you have a Matrixify-compatible backup you can restore from if needed.
- Team collaboration: Export from Importier, share the Matrixify-compatible file with team members or clients for review in Excel, then have them import via Matrixify when approved.
What the Export Includes
The Matrixify export includes all product fields that Importier has generated or enriched: titles, AI descriptions, SEO titles, meta descriptions, variant data, pricing, barcodes, weights, categories, tags, images, and any category metafields that were matched during the import flow.
Requirements
Matrixify must be installed on the destination Shopify store to import the exported file. Importier does not require Matrixify to be installed on the source store. The export generates a standalone file that works with Matrixify independently.
