What this article covers: How to send products you already have in Shopify into Importier's flow straight from the Products tab, where the flow starts depending on how many products you pick, and why finishing never creates duplicates.

Fix Products with Importier

You can send products you already have in Shopify into Importier's flow without exporting or re-uploading anything. On the Shopify admin Products tab, tick one or more products and choose Fix Products with Importier from the actions menu. The option appears in two places: the bulk actions menu that shows once you have products ticked, and the More actions menu at the top right of the Products page.

Where the flow starts

Importier opens the selected products inside its standard import flow, starting at the step that suits your selection:

  • More than one product starts at the Variants step, so you can group separate listings into a single product with variants.
  • A single product starts at the Tax step.

From there you continue through the flow as normal, generating descriptions, enriching data, and reviewing before you save.

Your products are updated in place

Finishing the flow updates the products you selected, it does not create new ones. This holds even if you change a product's title or SKU partway through, so you never end up with a duplicate of a product you were trying to fix.

Selection limit

You can fix up to 50 products in a single selection. For larger catalogues, work through them in batches of 50.
