Product Status

Choose the initial status: Active, Draft, or Archived.

Per-Product Status

The Options step sets the default, but each product stores its own status independently. You can change individual product statuses in the Review bulk editor.

Recommendation

Start with Draft for your first import to review in Shopify before publishing.
